These are a couple of random photos I've taken lately.
I spotted this large 4x4 pickup truck the other day. People can be pretty funny expressing their opinions.
Took a photo of this guy yesterday on my way home from work. He was crossing the road and got kind of distracted / stuck in the middle of the road. I pulled over and kind of chased him (or her) on over to the edge of the road.
It's hard to tell from the photo but this guy is
big! The shell is over a foot long - about 14 inches or so. His head is as large as my fist. Overall length including tail is at least 2 feet.
And - it took me a while to get him to the side of the road. He definitely wanted to stand his ground and fight. No matter where I stood, he always turned to face me and challenge me.

Yeah - I was driving. On a busy 6 lane road (Wake Forest Road - inside the beltline). In Raleigh city traffic. In the middle of the day.
And no - I shouldn't have.
Fear the turtle . . . . I thought everyone in NC knew that!
