Weekend Update

Didn't do much this weekend.

Saturday a friend came over and we grilled steaks and watched football.

Also watched Stuck On You on DVD Saturday night. Pretty much what you'd expect - a very lightweight comedy. But better than I expected. Still, I wouldn't recommend it unless you're really really bored.

Sunday, went into Pittsboro for lunch and to look around. Sundays, from March through Christmas, Pittsboro sets up sidewalk vendors and they usually have a band performing near the Court House traffic circle. Pittsboro's "downtown" is a whopping 2 blocks long. Which is kind of nice since it makes for a small, not overly crowded time.

Saw an art gallery on a side street, in fact, I think it's called Side Street Gallery. They had some really good stuff. The whole place was open including the studio area. The owners use some of their profits to provide free art lessons for local kids that can't afford them. The Peace, Love and Harmony Hippie thing is alive and well in Chatham County.

Thursday night will be Florida State at NC State.

FSU is heavily favored by 10 ½ points. It ought to be an exciting game. I expect there'll be a fired up crowd. On paper, FSU should win - but I think State will give 'em a good game.
