Watching the State at Missouri game was exactly what life as a Wolfpacker is like. Despair, Hope, Joy, Despair (in random order) - LOL
The first half of the first half - we got walked all over. Didn't get our first basket until 4 minutes into the game. I figured - here it comes - a real team is going to kill us.
Then, we started inching back. With a last second 3-pointer by Cat - we were up by 1 at the half.
Then the second half. A totally different team. We played the game we can play - when the guys play as a team! Burst out to a 20 point lead and never looked back. Got a little complacent with about 4 minutes left - but Coach G made some adjustments - and we finished strong.
First half we sucked. Second half we were awesome.
As Nuke said - "The Jekyll and Hyde work we are notorious for".
Home game Tuesday night. I don't know how these kids cope with so many games, going to class, studying, doing homework and trying to squeeze some time in to visit home for the Holidays.
I've scheduled vacation for Monday and Tuesday (closed Wednesday, Thursday and Friday for Christmas Holidays). Scheduled the days off thinking I might be driving someplace for Christmas - NoVa or Georgia. Instead, flying for a quick trip to Winter Park, FL.
So - I think I'll go to work Monday and Tuesday. Got a lot I can get done while it's quiet.
Happy Festivus.
