Not Much News

8 years ago today was the record snowfall in Raleigh - 20 1/2 inches. I was stuck in Raleigh for 3 days. Stayed at a friend's apartment near Cameron Village and walked to work.

When I finally got back home, Doe Run was still without power.

Raccoons

And in other Doe Run news - the raccoons showed up last night for food. It's been 13 days since they've been by. I guess they know how to survive on their own. But they sure were hungry. They kept banging on the door and I ended up feeding them 3 cup fulls of dog food. Usually they only eat 1.

Basketball

State lost a hard played game to Georgia Tech 74 to 77 Wednesday night.

We clearly have the talent but just can't seem to play together as a team. Our weakness is at point guard. We have 2 new points guards with loads of skill but who lack experience in running the floor game (Jr. guard Farnold Degand is out due to injury). It shows in close games. With our talent level, we should have only 1, 2 or maybe 3 at most, losses by now. Instead, our record is 16 - 6. Not good.

Fifth year Sr. Matt Causey for Georgia Tech shows what an awesome point guard can do for a team. His on court play and direction enables a weaker team to beat a better and deeper team.

Thanks to Chip for going to the game with me.
