Yep – this bridge is just about as old as the Camelback and has a wood plank single lane deck.
It’s on Chatham Church Road and is not too far south of Pittsboro NC. Actually, it’s not too far (as the crow flies) from my house.
The road leading up to one end is paved; the other side is a gravel road. Both roads are state roads, as is the bridge. Having a gravel road leading up to one end discourages anything but local traffic.
Frankly, I like this bridge a lot better since it’s the real deal and you can drive over it.

Always thought your area should be named, "Deep Creek." All you'd need is a store-front to also be a post office.
Who'd not support that idea?
